Fresh Basil complements the balanced citrus of Bergamot, Lime, Lemon and Tangerine subtly blended with the velvety Orange Blossom.
Its Heart is a floral bouquet. The luscious Absolutes of Damask Rose and Jasmine, coupled with the cheeky spiciness of Carnation, sits tantalisingly atop a bed of powdery warm Vanilla.
The presence of musky Labdanum elevates this fresh and fragrant florals into a different space.
Resinous Benzoin adds a balsamic twist to the sensual Amber. The grassy Oakmoss brings a cosiness to the overall sophistication, being tempered by the earthiness of Patchouli.
It has a classic masculinity with its sharp, ‘barbershop’ opening consisting of a delicious citrus blast which is both energetic and vigorous. Its leather nuances ably hint at strength, virility and prowess. It is dry yet sweet. it is elegant, suave, and opulent, all in the same breath.
This is my loving homage to what has been a staple in my own fragrant life, Guerlain’s Habit Rouge edP. I’ve long been enamoured with its classical, ‘Old-World’ style, which is dripping in charm and sophistication. When applied, HR consistently puts a huge smile on my face.
